Emergency Lighting Testing
For all your company needs to meet its PAT testing requirements under Section 4 (2) of the Electricity at Work Regulation (1989) - any machinery connected to the electricity supply via a removable plug.
We will test ALL Portable Appliances - including I.T., Dual Voltage and 3 phase appliances.
The Health and Safety Executive states that "Electricity can kill! Each year about 1000 accidents at work involving electric shock or burns are reported to the Health and Safety Executive. About 15 of these are fatal. Those using electricity may not be the only ones at risk: poor electrical installations and faulty electrical appliances can lead to fires which may also cause death or injury to others."
The majority of these accidents are entirely avoidable, and many are due to very obvious faults in equipment.
The purpose of these inspections and tests is to check the electrical safety of all portable electrical equipment regularly so that dangerous faults can be corrected before they cause any injury.
Emergency Lighting scheduled maintenance undertaken to BS5266 – 1:1999 Section 12.
